TOP 10 EASY WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT 

 

1. USE SMALL PLATES - Use salad plates or bowls instead of dinner plates. This small change can help you eat up to 30% fewer calories at meals. Also, spread the food out on the plate – it looks like a lot, even when it isn’t.

2. CHEW GUM – A study showed that people who chewed gum (preferably sugar-free) for 15 minutes twice a day consumed up to 40 calories less per day. Do this every day for 1 week and you could cut around 250 calories.

3. FIDGET – Fidget during meetings, at work or while watching TV. Sure, it’s annoying to anyone near your, but this nervous energy can burn up to 350 calories a day without working up a sweat.

4. EAT GRAPEFRUIT – Studies show people who ate a half a grapefruit 3 times a day before each meal lost an average of 3.6 pounds. Grapefruit may also lower insulin. But don’t load it down with sugar – you’ll defeat the purpose.

5. SLEEP 8 HOURS – A recent study shows people who got 7 hours sleep or less put on more weight during middle age than people who slept more.

6. EAT SLOWLY – Take your time when you eat. If you slow down, you’re likely to consume 70 fewer calories than those who eat more quickly. If you eat 3 meals a day, that could mean cutting 210 calories just by eating slower.

7. SAY NO TO SECONDS – Eat only what’s on your plate. By skipping seconds (and thirds) you eat 18% less calories.

9. LOW-FAT DAIRY – Replace full-fat milk, yogurt and cheese with lower-fat versions. You’ll still get just as much calcium and protein but without the saturated fats.
